Amazon has confirmed that it is opening another bricks-and-mortar store, and this time in Chicago.

After 20 years of selling books online, Amazon opens its first physical bookstore with books for sale on actual shelves late last year.

This will be Amazon’s second bookshop. And the 2,300 sq. ft. pickup spot will be located at the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Student Center East.
The bookstore will carry best sellers, as well as books that the state's residents are most likely to buy. In addition, it will be selling titles that are rated highly on the e-retailer's website.
The bookstore would not be like every random bookstore because it would be relying on Amazon.com data — including customer ratings, sales totals, and Goodread's popularity — to decide which books to stock.
