Pinnick who is the president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) won a seat CAF Executive Committee in March.

As part of the celebration of his latest achievement, a thanksgiving service was held at the First Baptist Church ((Agape Community) in his hometown Warri.

Also at the thanksgiving were Chiefs Ayiri Emami, Sunny Ekpiwre, Mr. Adozor Okotie-Eboh, Mr. Chris Iyere, Mr. Neville Oghene House of Reps’ members Daniel Beyenieju and Julius Pondi, Isha Johansen (president of Sierra Leone FA), Kossi Akpovy (president of Togo FA), Chief Solomon Ogba (president of Athletics Federation of Nigeria), Chiefs Omagbemi and Agbeluje (representatives of the Olu of Warri) and Barrister Chris Green (Chairman of NFF Technical and Development Committee).

Barr. Porbeni Ogun and Messrs Emmanuel Iba and Frank Ilaboya (FA Chairmen of Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom and Edo States) officials of the Delta State Government and Delta State Football Association, former Nigerian internationals Edema Fuludu, Clement Temile, Chikelue Iloenyosi and Nasiru Jibril, former elite League chairman Davidson Owumi and Larry Kubeinje were all also at the thanksgiving service.

“Today, I attended a thanksgiving mass at First Baptist Church in Warri, Delta state to celebrate @PinnickAmaju's election as CAF executive,” Edo State Governor Obaseki said in a statement on Twitter.

“Edo state government would take full advantage of Nigeria's representation at @CAF_Online to develop football in the state.

“I consider his (@PinnickAmaju) elevation into @CAF_Online a great achievement for Nigeria as a football nation.”

Pinnick won the election which held at the CAF 39th Ordinary General Assembly at the African Union headquarters in Addis Ababa on Thursday, March 16.

The Delta State born football administrator defeated long-standing member Anjorin Moucharafou who is also the head of Benin Republic Football Federation.
