The EuroCup final series has not started well for the Serbian coach. Beşiktaş suffered a 72-60 home defeat to Bourg, now needing an away win to force a decisive third game for the trophy.

Dušan Alimpijević's squad started sluggishly, apart from an initial 5-0 run. From the moment Bourg equalized at 7-7 early in the game and then took their first lead, the Turkish team never held the advantage again. At one point in the final quarter, the deficit even stretched to 18 points.

The second game of the final series, and Bourg's first opportunity to clinch the EuroCup and secure a spot in the EuroLeague, is scheduled for Tuesday, April 28th, at 7:30 PM.
