Jan-Lennard Struff and the doubles pairing of Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz have also been named to the team. The Davis Cup Final 8 will take place from November 24 to 29, as Germany target their first title since 1993.
Zverev stands as the team's marquee star. This season, he captured his maiden Grand Slam title at Roland Garros and followed it up with a triumph at the US Open, securing the year-end ATP World No. 1 spot.
"We have a very strong squad packed with immense quality, great experience, and players who can handle pressure. With Sascha (Zverev), we have the best player in the world in our ranks right now. The fact that Sascha wants to play for Germany again despite a grueling season is not something to be taken for granted and shows just how much the team means to him," Michael Kohlmann stated.
Germany begin their Final 8 campaign against Great Britain on November 26.
