The 27-year-old has won two Stanley Cup championships with the Kings, including last season's triumph over the New York Rangers.
Martinez was instrumental in the successful 2013-14 campaign, netting the Cup-clinching double-overtime winner in game five on June 13.
The number 95 pick in the 2007 NHL Draft has scored 25 goals and 62 points in 221 games for the Kings, including seven points in 18 games for the reigning Stanley Cup holders this season.
