Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has revealed the state government's plan to host a traffic summit next week.

He said this while delivering a keynote address yesterday, November 19th, at the Lagos Business School Alumni Conference, adding that  the two key pressing areas for his government are security and traffic.

Governor Ambode also spoke on the appointment of his predecessor, Babatunde Fashola, as the Minister of Works, Power and Housing.

"We are privileged to have my predecessor in office at the center in charge of Works, Power and Housing. This effectively means we have a synergy between Lagos and the Federal Government to accelerate and actualize our current plans for infrastructural development."
