Leicestershire Police confirmed that they arrested and question Musa at his residence on suspicion of common assault.

After questioning, the 24-year-old was released without charge.

After the incident, Musa took to his Instagam to reveal that he is in another relationshiop.

He shared a post of another girl whom he called his 'queen'.

“On this special day, may you have all the joy, your heart can hold; All the smiles, a day can bring; And all the blessings, a life can unfold. May God bestow you with His bounties and blessings! Happy Birthday, To my Queen,” the 24-year-old wrote alongside a photo of the girl.

Through sources close to the former Super Eagles captain, he has denied ever hitting his wife while neighbours were surprised at the arrest.

“Ahmed is a nice guy. He always has a friendly smile. I don't know anything about his private life,” one neighbour told Sun.

“You never hear noise coming from the house. I had no idea the police had been called there,” another said.

Musa and his wife Jamila have been married for several years and have two kids, their son born in 2013 and their daughter born in August 2015.
