Afghan judge sentences four to death for mob killing of woman

KABUL, May 6 (Reuters) - An Afghan judge sentenced four men to death on Wednesday for participating in the mob killing of woman accused of burning a Koran in Kabul.

The four were among 49 defendants, 19 of them police officers, on trial in the case that sparked outrage and street protests in the Afghan capital. (Reporting by Kay Johnson; Editing by Simon Cameron-Moore)
