Ruben Amorim is reportedly on the verge of making a key signing for his new club, AC Milan, by bringing in central defender Sankoun Diawara from Troyes. According to "Gazzetta dello Sport," the deal is expected to be worth around three million euros. The young player, born in 2006 and a product of the French club's academy, with whom he secured promotion from Ligue 2, will be integrated directly into the first team for the upcoming season. This information was later corroborated by the authoritative Italian sports journalist and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

While initially considered for the reserve squad, led by Sergio Navarro, the Italian giants' management is now contemplating his immediate inclusion in the senior team at the Portuguese coach's request. The objective is for Diawara to develop under the guidance of Pavlovic, with whom he shares similar characteristics.

Like Pavlovic, Diawara is left-footed and demonstrates excellent ball-playing abilities – a quality highly valued by Amorim. He is seen as a natural long-term successor. Last season in France, the defender made 14 appearances in Ligue 2, accumulating a total of 1048 minutes on the pitch.

The player's own desire was a decisive factor in the transfer. According to the same source, Sankoun Diawara, whose contract was set to expire in a year, turned down a starting spot at Rangers to accept the Rossoneri's offer.
