According to a Facebook user, Arnold Efeoghene, who found the baby, the pretty newborn was abandoned in the building located on Winners Road in the city, wrapped in a blue blanket and moved to tears, he took photos of the baby and posted it on his wall.

"Some people are really wicked. I found this baby in an uncompleted building this morning, by Winners Road, Benin City. But thank God she is alive and she is being taken care of."

This is not the first time newborn babies have been abandoned by their mothers while many women have been praying for a fruit of the womb, some even spending millions of Naira looking to the fruits of the womb.

When such mothers are caught, many of them blame the harsh economic situation in the country as the reason for their actions while others claim to have been abandoned by the men who got them pregnant.
