Catastrophe is an understatement for what Minnesota endured in Game 4 of the Western Conference First Round against Denver. Although the Wolves secured a 112-96 victory, they paid a heavy price, losing their best player.

The Minnesota Timberwolves' star player suffered a severe injury upon landing. He came down on his left leg, and the footage clearly showed a gruesome injury.

According to well-informed Shams Charania, Edwards sustained a hyperextended knee and a bone bruise. He is expected to be sidelined for several weeks, effectively ending his playoff series against Denver. However, Minnesota is in a favorable position, leading the series 3-1. Donte DiVincenzo also suffered a serious injury in the same game, tearing his Achilles tendon.

This turn of events has reignited Denver's hopes of staging a comeback in the series. The Nuggets will need to win three consecutive games to advance. The winner of this series will face the victor of the San Antonio Spurs – Portland Trail Blazers matchup. Game 5 is scheduled for April 28th at Denver's Ball Arena.
