A Chance for the Eternal Rivals: EuroLeague Re-evaluates Three Clubs' A Licenses!
The status of Fenerbahçe, Real Madrid, and ASVEL will be reviewed at a EuroLeague meeting scheduled for April 14th. According to Eurohoops, the EuroLeague will assess the current licensing situation for these three clubs. Additionally, the possibility of granting new long-term licenses will be explored.
Discussions are also expected regarding a potential EuroLeague expansion, though teams previously mentioned as future EuroLeague contenders, such as Hapoel Jerusalem, Beşiktaş, and PAOK, have not yet been formally approached.
This presents an opportunity for Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet and Partizan to secure A licenses. Both major Serbian teams submitted their A license applications in January. The outcome remains unknown, but this meeting is sure to have significant repercussions, and it's not impossible that we could see new EuroLeague participants next season.
