Nigerian tennis players beg Dalung for funds

The players who are representing Nigeria have cried out of lack of funds which could see them miss out on the championships which will also serve as qualifiers for the 2017 World Junior Championships and 2018 Youth Olympic Games (YOG).

In a press release from the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTTF), the players who are expected to depart for Tunisia this weekend for the championship.

The players have been training at the National Stadium, Lagos after International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) through the African Table Tennis Federation (ATTF) confirmed Nigeria and 10 other countries for the championships.

Pulse Sports learnt that while Dalung approved Nigeria’s participation in the championship the sports ministry have revealed that funds are not available for the trip.
