Popular news platform's website is down

Though there were no official information given as to why the website, www.punchng.com, has been down, it is believed that the site is undergoing maintenance  by the company's IT engineers.

 

The website of the the popular newspaper house, The Punch, has been down for a greater part of Saturday, October 17, 2015.

Though this no official information as to why the website, www.punchng.com, has been down, it is believed that the site is undergoing maintenance by the company's IT engineers.

"Our website is under maintenance We will be back Shortly, Please bear with us," was the terse information given on the website.

The Punch Newspaper is a broadsheet formatted newspaper founded by two friends, James Aboderin, and Sam Amuka, who became the first editor of the Sunday Punch. In November 1976, a few years after the first print of its Sunday edition, the duo started printing their trademark daily newspaper.
