Nigerians roast Gov. for appointing sister Commissioner

Many Nigerians are not happy with the Imo State Governor following his appointment of his sister as a Commissioner in the state.

Since the news broke, the social media has been agog as many Nigerians have been giving Okorocha who claims to be the Peoples'Governor the stick with many wondering what a Commissioner with that portfolio would do and also ask why he should give the position to his sister.

This is the latest of gaffes by Okorocha who keeps moving from one controversy shortly after spending billions of Naira to erect statues in honour of the South African and Liberian Presidents, Jacob Zuma and Ellen Sirleaf-Johnson while he has not been able to pay the state workers salaries running into several months.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Ololo who is also Okorocha's Deputy Chief of Staff on Domestic Affairs as well as being the sole contractor that decorates the state every Christmas, has already opened a Twitter account where she extolled her brother's virtues on setting up the ministry and putting her in charge.

With the handle Commissioner for Happiness @MrsOgechiOlolo, the new Happiness Commissioner tried to explain what her office is meant to do and the work she would put in to make sure the people of the state are happy.

This is her first tweet:

"The Executive Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha has done a good job in commissioning this new office which is a first of its kind in Nigeria. The people of great Imo State deserve Happiness and a fulfilled life. God bless Imo State. "

A Twitter user with the handle asked her what her office entails with this tweet:

@TobyKelechi: "What are the responsibilities of a commissioner of happiness?"

Mrs. Ogolo replied:

"In a time were couple's divorce is at an all-time high, I will use my good office to ensure couples in Imo will be fulfilled and serve as an example to the world.

1. To ensure citizens of Imo State remain happy despite the economic meltdown and Biafran fiasco

2. To ensure couples in Imo state  have a reduced divorce rate and better-fulfilled marriages

3.  Cater to the welfare of the average Imo indigene."

See the tweets angry Nigerians have been firing Okorocha's way since he made that obnoxious announcement:
