‘’The church has a role to ensure stability in the society and partnership with the church is something we must strengthen,’’ he said.

Earlier, Gado said he was on a pastoral visit to Edo and Delta states and that the church would like to extend some of its  social services to people of Edo subject to availability of land.

He said the church built schools and hospitals, as part of its commitment to the spiritual and physical well-being of  members and also as a strategy to reaching out to people yet to accept Christ.

He appealed to the governor to use his good office to speak for the oppressed, widows, orphans, voiceless, poor and improve on the lots of unemployed youths in the state.
