Alhaji Satome Ahmed, the Executive Chairman of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) said in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Maiduguri.

Ahmed said that the decision followed complaints by IDPs on the centralised cooking system, adding that the government would, instead, provide foodstuff to households.

"We plan to abolish the central cooking system in all IDP camps by next months, our action is based on complaints from the Displaced Persons on the operation of the system.

"We have already introduced household feeding system in most camps where households are given foodstuffs that will last for some time instead of centralised system.
