Following multiple explosions that rocked Maiduguri in the early hours of Saturday, a similar attack was carried out in Gaidam, Yobe state.

According to sources, Boko Haram gunmen invaded Maladari village located 6km to Gaidam around 3:00 am. The gunmen shot sporadically as residents fled to a neighbouring village to seek refuge.

This is coming few hours before the commencement of the presidential and National Assembly elections.
