According to Owen Williams of the Relationship Minute, when it comes to setting boundaries, the biggest mistake people make is that they tell other people around them what they can or cannot do.
"In relationships, you can set boundaries by using words like "you want to talk to other people like that, go ahead but don't use that tone on me",

"In other words, you aren't telling them what they should or shouldn't do rather you are telling them what works for you," Williams explains
