College Acquaintance Rape Education (C.A.R.E) via interactive workshops is one of the central elements of our fight against the growing trend of RAPE culture in Secondary Schools.
Three month Sensitizing Rape workshop in partnership with the Lagos state government (Photos)
College Acquaintance Rape Education (C.A.R.E) kicked off on the 18 February 2015 at the Adeyemi Bero Hall, Alausa and moved to the six Education district in Lagos yesterday.
It's a RAPE prevention workshop led by trained Peer educators, who have massive experience on gender relations, socialization, dating violence and sexual violence prevention.
The three months sensitizing workshop which kicked off on the 18 of February 2015 at the Adeyemi Bero Hall, Alausa and moved to the six Education district in Lagos, ended on the 29 of April at Dolphin High School, Lagos Island
Mr. Ade Ipaye (Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice Lagos State), Mrs Omotola Rotimi (Director, Office of the Public Defender), Valentina Peter-Nkwo (Mirabel Center), CSP Monday Agbonika and Nollywood Actor and Lawmaker ;Desmond Elliot are some of the facilitators who sensitized, enlightened, encouraged and educated several primary and secondary school students in Lagos state on Rape and the need to speak up.
C.A.R.E is a Rubies Ink Initiative in partnership with the Lagos State Ministry of Justice and the Domestic and Sexual Violence response team (DSVRT) , and the follow up plan for the annual Walk Against Rape Campaign.
