Cable thief electrocuted to death in Niger

A young man who tried to steal cables from a transformer when there was a power cut was electrocuted with the sudden restoration of electricity.

According to eyewitnesses, the thief who had been apprehended several times while making away with people's property, decided to try his luck with the cables when there was power outage but met his waterloo as he was at work when there was a restoration of the electricity and he was electrocuted.

His dead and burnt body was found the next day with the cables entangled on him in the morning of Sunday, August 7, 2016.
