Readers decry jumbo wardrobe allowance for NASS members

82 percent of Pulse Nigeria Poll voters have picked holes in the proposed jumbo wardrobe allowance for National Assembly legislators.

Senator Bukola Saraki and Hon. Yakubu Dogara

The raging debate over the monstrous wardrobe allowance that has been appropriated for members of the National Assembly, has been going on in the country in the past few days.

Little else is being discussed with many Nigerians take sides and give their own view on the issue.

Many of the legislators have been silent on the allowance, not mind the fact that Nigerians are not happy with the news that a whopping N8.64 billion has been earmarked for their clothes.

It is only Senator Ben Murray-Bruce who has promised to donate his part of the money to workers in the employ of Osun State whose salary arrears of seven months is no longer funny, and to some widows in Bayelsa State.
