Reporter stabbed in the back after he volunteered to test a 'Knife-proof vest'

Eitam Lachover, from Israel , was accidentally knifed when the vice president of the product's design company tested out the vest while the reporter was wearing it.

In a viral video, the vice president Yanviv Montakyo says: "We will demonstrate a stabbing on you.

"You have nothing to worry about, we are very confident in our product."

He then adds: "Don't be afraid. If something happens, I'm here."

The reporter, Mr Lachover puts his hand together in a prayer-like motion as he prepares to take part in the risky experiment.

Mr Montakyo struck Mr Lachover with repeated blows using a very sharp commando steel blade, but his hand strayed and hit the reporter on an area not protected by the vest, causing an injury to his back.

According to reports, Mr Lachover was taken to hospital as a result of his injuries where he received stitches before later being discharged.
