April fools' day is a day to have fun pranking people. Here are some ideas for you.

Its April fools day today- a day when its socially acceptable to play harmless pranks on your loved ones, just so that you can look back on later and laugh together.

The idea of This day, of course, is to have fun, not to make people miserable.

Although not sure where this tradition of pranking people on April 1st came from, doing any of the following pranks after midday on 1st April is against the rules (who cares by the way?) and if you're not sure someone will see the funny side, it's probably best not to bother.

For April fools' day prank, here are some prank ideas you may want to try out. Remember, it's all for fun, and well, if you get pranked instead, it's alright, just enjoy the day.

1. The toothpaste treat trick

Fill a toothpaste tube with some hot sauce and quietly replace the cap. You could also buy some biscuit and replace the filling with some paste.

2. Cracked computer screen

Find and download a reasonably high-resolution image of a cracked screen. Set the image as a screensaver on your friend's computer making sure it is set to activate after a short amount of time (30 seconds or so).

3. Phone prank

Take a screen shot on someone's phone of their homepage, then remove all of the apps from their homepage and set the screenshot as the background. They'll be trying to click on their messages icon or their Facebook icon in order to open the apps, without realising that it's actually just a picture.

4. Instead of caramel apples, serve them some delicious caramel onions.
