News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Omole, a resident of 35, Olaleye Street, Oko-Oba, Agege area of the state, was arraigned on a one-count charge of rape.
The police prosecutor in the case, Inspector Simeon Ihuoha, told the court that Omole had lured the girl into his room under the prtext of sending her on an errand but instead forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.
The girl was said to have reported the assault to her parents who reported the matter to the police, leading to the accused arrest and subsequent arraignment in court.
When the charge was read to the accused, he pleaded not guilty and the Chief Magistrate, Mrs B. O Osunsanmi, granted him bail in the sum of N300, 000 bail with two sureties in like sum, while the case was adjourned till January 31, 2017, for mention.
