Should adultery be legalized in Nigeria?

South Korea has blazed a trail by passing a law making adultery legal in that country. Do you think such a law will thrive in Nigeria?

On February 25, 2015, the South Korean Constitutional Court at its plenary session, blazed the trail by striking down a 60-year-old law banning adultery by making it legal.

The presiding justice, Park Han-Chul, remarked that though the act of adultery is bad and immoral, the state has no power to interfere with the individual lives of the people and as such, no one caught will be punished.

The pronouncement has drawn a lot of talking points and debates on what will be the implication of such a law in Nigeria.

Who will stand to benefit if adultery is legalized in Nigeria? How will marriages be affected in the country?
