The accused, whose address is unknown, is facing a three-count charge of stealing, burglary and conspiracy.

The prosecutor, Cpl. Abdulkareem Mustapha, told the court that the accused and others still at large, committed the offences on Nov. 13 about 12.30 p.m., at No.5 Akanni St., Ologun-Ota.

Mustapha said that the accused and his accomplices conspired to break into the house of one Olarinde Oluwaseyi and stole a Lenovo laptop and other valuable valued at N178, 000.

The offences contravened Sections 390(9), 412 and 516 of the Criminal Code Vol.1, Laws of Ogun, 2016.

The accused, however, pleaded not guilty.

The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Funke Odubanjo, granted bail to the accused in the sum of N200, 000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case till Dec. 29 for hearing.
