Trevor Noah is back behind his desk on 'The Daily Show' after cancelling on last episode due to an emergency appendectomy.

The host's return comes just one day after undergoing the sudden surgery. However, he may not have fully recovered.

The comedian couldn't be happier to be back to work, though, as indicated by his beaming smile in a photo shared by the show.

Among the many fans who sent Noah well wishes, Jimmy Fallon was one who knew a thing or two about being in a hospital.

"Hey @TrevorNoah, tell everyone at the hospital I said hey! Get better soon buddy!" Fallon wrote to which Noah replied:

Noah has appeared on 18 episodes as the new Daily Show host, having replaced Jon Stewart on September 28.
