Rapper angers buyers after black Yeezys Boost 350 sneakers sold out in USA

One hour after the coveted black pairs opened sales to the general public online on Saturday morning [August 22] the official Adidas Twitter account posted, “#YEEZYBOOST 350 is now sold out online in the U.S.”

Kanye West

Kanye West should be smiling to the bank after his new Yeezys Boost 350 sneakers sold out one hour after its online release in America. But are his potential happy about the sales record too?

Reports says it was a similar situation at retail locations across America, where would-be buyers waited on cue for hours, only for the shoes to sell out in minutes.

Kanye had previously assured clients that anyone who wanted a pair would (eventually) get one, it seems many retailers, both online and the traditional brick-and-mortar stores, only received extremely small amounts of the shoes.

Many people became disappointed and even angry. One buyer took to Twitter and Instagram to vent their frustration.

“Words can’t explain how mad I am that I didn’t get the Yeezys,” tweeted one person. Another wrote, “IF YOU CANT NAME ALL OF KANYE’S ALBUMS YOU SHOULDNT BE ALLOWED TO BUY YEEZYS.” Another declared, “Getting a pair of Yeezys is like the hunger games.”

A different individual similarly wrote, “Gosh I’m exhausted. Online battling for Yeezys is like training for the next iPhone release.” Even “American Idol” runner-up Jessica Sanchez posted, “The yeezys breaking the Internet.” And one Twitter user concluded, “Only way I’m getting a pair of yeezys is if Kanye gives me a pair himself.”

West’s wifeKim Kardashian gifted Yeezys to one of her superfans, Myleeza, during a birthday get-together earlier this month. And in February, Kardashian shared an Instagram post showing she had Yeezys 750 Boost sneakers set aside for famous pals like Jay Z and Diddy.
