The singer took to Twitter to mourn his 'late friend and senior brother', Francis Kertekain.

"With deep sorrow and sadness, I regret to announce the passing of my long time friend, senior brother, manager Francis Kertekian. RIP! We will miss u. I pray the Creator gives your family the strength to deal with your passing. We love you. "

Femi Kuti started out in his father's band Egypt 80. In the '90's he started his own band known as The Positive Force.

With a manager like, Francis Kertekain, he has gone on to make a strong name for himself in Africa, Europe and North America.
