This week Nigerian-German artiste Bantu, 44, met the German president Joachim Gauck, 76 and his wife Daniela Schadt when they paid an official visit to Freedom Park in Lagos.

Freedom Park was a former colonial prison that is now the venue of Afropolitan Vibes concert series which holds monthly. It has now grown to become the most popular live music show in Lagos and has featured several international bands and singers.
Bantu and Joachim Gauck spoke about the achievements of Afropolitan Vibes since it began in 2013. During the conversation they spoke about Bantu's visit to Berlin with his band.

Bantu expressed his happiness that President Gauck has joined the Afropolitan Vibes movement. The German President also held a copy of the Afropolitan Vibes magazine.
