7 things you need to know if you wish to study Law
By the time you read this, you'll understand what it takes to study Law in Nigeria.
You would probably have heard stories about what it takes to study Law but hey, if you're not properly informed about this course, you may not enjoy.
As a prospective Law student, here are five things you need to about the course you want to study.
1. Get ready to wear white and black
First, you've got to learn how to dress corporate throughout your five years on campus plus one more year at Law school. As you prepare for this, note that all your corporate dresses have to be white and black because that the acceptable dress code at Law faculties.
2. Career prospects
Law is one of the most respected professions in the world and it offers great career opportunities for its graduates.
3. You'll experience a lot of frustrating moments
As stated earlier, Law is a very demanding course. It is all about learning and you'll have a lot of voluminous books to read to get good grades. Don't let it scare you, just prepare yourself and avoid distractions.
4. Law books are expensive
Don't be deceived about free education you probably enjoyed at secondary school. No government provides free books for Law students in Nigeria. So prepare to spend lots of money on books.
5. Law School is intense
Law school is the last lap of the race and it requires you to put in your best to graduate. Law school is so intense that your best at the university won't likely guarantee you a good grade at Law School. And guess what, if you fail a course at Law school, you are not graduating.
