Richie McCaw was knocked out cold during a 29-15 bonus-point victory for Crusaders over Super Rugby strugglers Blues at AMI Stadium on Saturday.

New Zealand captain McCaw was taken off for a concussion test in the final quarter after taking a blow to the head while tackling Blues full-back Lolagi Visinia.

It remains to be seen if McCaw will be fit to face Hurricanes next weekend as the seven-time champions strive to seal a play-off place.

Crusaders shot into a 14-0 lead after 16 minutes courtesy of tries from Mitchell Drummond and Jordan Taufua, but Blues cut the deficit to 17-10 at half-time after Francis Saili crossed for the visitors.

However, Tom Taylor and Codie Taylor went over before the hour-mark to ensure Crusders claimed the bonus point, before Brendon O'Connor claimed a second try for Blues - who still have only one Super Rugby to their name this season.

Waratahs withstood a Rebels fightback to secure a 18-16 victory at the Allianz Stadium despite Bernard Foley's poor display with the boot.

Foley missed four kicks, but tries from Michael Hooper, Adam Ashley-Cooper and Rob Horne ensured the champions claimed their fourth successive victory over the Melbourne club.

Bryce Hegarty scored Rebels' solitary try seven minutes from time, but the visitors were unable to avoid a first defeat in three matches.
