Players want to wear black armbands for victims of Westminster’s attack
The

Ahead of the Super Eagles friendly game against Senegal on Thursday, March 23, the Super Eagles have revealed that they have proposed to the organisers of the friendly game to wear black armbands and observe a minute silence for the victims attack.
“We’ve proposed to organisers of today’s friendly vs Senegal, that our players wear black bands & observe a minute silence for #Westminster,” the Super Eagles revealed through their official Twitter account.
It is unclear if the organisers will approve the proposal although it is very likely the Super Eagles will be allowed to wear black armbands and observe a one-minute silence.
In football, players wear black armbands to mourn or pay tribute to victims of tragedy including terrorist attacks, natural disasters and even natural deaths.
Players are also allowed to wear black armbands individually to mourn a close relative or friend.
