2 ACE students die in accident, colleagues protest

Two students of the Adeyemi College of Education (ACE), Ondo, Akinkuotu Toyosi and Omobolawa Bola, have been killed  in a hit and run accident that occurred at the weekend.

Before their unfortunate demise, Toyosi was a Part III student of the English Department while Bola was a Part IV Physics student.

The accident claimed a third victim, who is still being treated at the Trauma Centre, Ondo.

According to reports, the tragic incident occurred about 300 metres from the college gate at about 10.45p.m.

Student Pulse gathered that the students were returning from "Asun Night", a programme organised as part of activities to mark the institution's 50th Anniversary.

Following the student's death, their colleagues staged a protest on Saturday.

They blocked the Ondo-Akure road and other major roads.

It took the intervention of  security operatives to bring the situation under control.
