World Number three Agnieszka Radwanska joined number one Serena Williams as those who will not continue further for the Roland Garros cup in the 2014 French Open as she lost in two straight sets of 6-4 6-4 to 21 year-old Croatian Ajla Tomljanovic: The Croat joined the likes of Muguruza in rewriting the script in the race for for a new winner for the Coupe Suzanne-Lenglen, using the full array of weapons in her artillery to dismantle the 25 year old Pole.

The third round of the men's game took off with the regulars as there have barely been any surprising shocker in the exit of the top seeds. Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, Novak Djokovic and the other men top seeds are still in the running for the tournament's top spot. Another Frenchman however, beat Jerzy Janowicz of Poland 6-4 6-4 6-3 to keep the French hopes alive, Tommy Robredo of Spain lost to USA's John Isner 7(15)-6(13) 7-6(3) 5-7 7-5.

Th other round of games in the Men's singles, World number one Rafael Nadal beat Mayer of Argentina 6-2 7-5 6-2, Gael Monfils beat Fabio Fognini 5-7 6-2 6-4 0-6 6-2, Garcia Lopez of Spain beat American Donald YOUNG 6-2 6-4 2-6 4-7 6-4. David Ferrer defeated Andreas Seppi 6-2 6(2)-7 3-6, South Africa's Kevin Anderson beat Ivo Karlovic of Croatia 6-3, the Croat retired retired in the early hour of the game, Marcel Granollers beat Martin Kilzan 6(5)-7(7) 6-2 7(7)-6(4) 7-5 just as Dusan Lajovic beat Jack Sock 4-6 5-7 3-6.

Richard Gasquet lost to Fernando Verdasco 3-6 2-6 3-6 while Andy Murray beat Phillip kohlschreiber 3-6 6-3 6-3 4-6 12-10 .

Winners of the round 3 games qualify to play in the round 4 games which advances them into the quarter final for the winners in that particular round.
