Who is a champion? A champion is someone who fights for the freedom of many. A champion seeks the good of others. They go beyond their comfort zone to create a future for others.
Champions have a selfless mindset, an attitude that is rare. Sometimes, they look like they were born with these attitudes or qualities. You can conclude that they are a select few by God, but the truth is that we all have been called; we all are in that select team of champions.
You might not look or feel like a champion today, but deep inside you is a mission, an idea, a smile, a word that will move someone or your nation forward.
You are influential at your level of contact. Believe me. If you look around you carefully, you will find out that there are two or three people in your office, street, family church, mosque wherever, who look up to you.
1- Vision: Vision is a mental picture of a preferred future. Champions have a focus. Vision prepares you for the hurdles ahead of your pursuit or course. It protects you from distractions that abound on your journey to achieve that which you have set for yourself.
2- Passion: Champions are passionate about their course. In the midst of dire challenges their passion for the lives connected to their vision keeps them going.
3- Persistence: A champions resolve to leave the world a better place than they met it, gives them an attitude that says EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE. They never take “NO” for an answer. They keep trying and knocking until the wall caves in. They are blind to opposition. There passion fuels their persistence.
4- They have faith in themselves: Champions have faith in themselves; they believe that God has deposited gifts and talents in them for the development of humanity. Their believe in their potentials, gives them a positive outlook to life. The acknowledgement of their potentials determines the kind of friends they keep.
They only relate with friends who will build them up or are built up by them. They are not intimidated by circumstances and challenges. They volunteer to solve problems. To these ones, challenges are like bread to them.
