Odemwingie has been without a club since he was released by Premier League side, Stoke City in the summer.
According to reports, the 35-year-old who spent last season on loan at is scheduled to hold medicals with Bolton on Thursday, October 20.
Stoke Sentinel reports that the former Super Eagles forward will train with Bolton over the weekend ahead of their league clash with Bury on Monday, October 24.
Osaze insisted he wanted to remain in England where he stays with his family and the signing for Bolton should be a welcomed moved for him.
“I’m waiting for offers to come in, the priority is to stay in the country,” he told Sky Sports.
The former Super Eagles forward stays in England with his wife, Sarah Fallon and their three children.
Odemwingie came to England in the summer of 2010 when he signed for West Brom from Lokomotiv Moscow in Russia.
He later played for Cardiff, Stoke City and Bristol City.
