British carmaker partners with Swiss luxury watch brand, Richard Mille
Motorauthority reports that this partnership will result in an exclusive series of luxury watches, that will bear the carmaker's logo.
Along with sponsorship in major motorsports events such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans and Nürburgring 24 Hours.
In a statement, Aston Martin brand manager, said the auto company was happy with the partnership.
"We are delighted to be partnering with Richard Mille, a company that stands for exceptional performance and design excellence. We are looking forward to working with Richard Mille over the coming years to develop a collection of luxury high-performance watches."
Previously, the watch brand partnered with McLaren.
When asked about the partnership, Mille said;
“Some people might say that I love cars more than watches. But in my watches you feel my love for cars anyway. For me there is no comparison to McLaren anywhere. Everybody calls this watch the Formula 1 of the watch business. I always say I don’t count the money I put into research and development. Only the result counts. Pushing the limit, as Ron was just saying, is really in our DNA. Whatever we touch, we must be the best and in advance of our competitors. But in the end, we release only a few limited editions, which is part of what makes it so expensive, but it’s very challenging when you start from scratch to find the target.”
This partnership resulted in the Richard Mille RM 011 model watches.
