The two fighters will compete for the WBO welterweight title on November 22 in Macau, China and are coming to the end of a 27,000 mile cross-country media circuit to ensure the bout receives maximum exposure.
Pacquiao, a world champion in eight different weight divisions, insisted he won't be underestimating Algieri when they step into the ring.
"It's going to be a good fight," Pacquiao said.
"I know I respect Team Algieri. They are good guys. He's one of the nicest people that I've met in boxing."
The Filipino"s trainer Freddie Roach is confident the 35-year-old can see off his American opponent, having a cheeky dig at Algieri's success in the world of education.
The 30-year-old holds a master's degree in nutrition from Stony Brook University, something that Roach isn"t impressed by.
"That"s not going to... help him in the ring," Roach said. "Manny has a PhD in boxing. Eight world titles.
"Algieri said he wants to be a doctor, I asked him what kind, and he said a natural doctor. I said, 'OK, but that"s not really a doctor.' A master's degree in nutrition, I've got to look that up, I haven't found it yet. I don't think there's such a thing."
