The 22-year-old signed for Chelsea in 2012 but has been shipped out on loan to loan to ADO Den Haag, Middlesbrough and currently at Kasımpaşa in Turkey.

In a recent interview, the Super Eagles midfielder revealed that he still harbours hopes of playing for the reigning Premier League champions.

“I still want to play in the England Premier League? I played in the English Championship on loan at Middlesbrough.  But the Premier League is a very different level,” Omeruo told in a recent interview.

“I believe in myself.  I am looking forward to getting my chance at Chelsea. For the club to sign me, it means they saw something in me.  I’m not desperate, but I trust myself.
