Bear attack survivor calls Leonardo DiCaprio's 'Revenant' depiction, "absurd"
News reports have revealed the ordeal an America woman survived after getting attacked by a bear, so much so that she calls
The 68-yr-old bear attack survivor identified as, Allena Hansen describes the depiction of a bear attack in movie, "The Revenant" as “visibly faked” and absurd in comparison to her harrowing experience.
Hansen had been mauled by a bear on her Californian ranch back in 2008, losing her nose, ears and 14 teeth in the attack.
She reveals that she found the scenes laughable as a bear attack isn't that easy to deal with, sharing graphic photos from her attack as proof.
Hansen revealed that she had endured dozens of surgeries, with rehab stretched over years, as a result of her attack.
The elderly woman had only survived the attack with the help of her 2 large dogs and poking the bear in one of its eyes with a thumb nail.
While making comparisons between her ordeal and DiCaprio's depiction, Hansen reveals that she had been amused by the "absurdity" of the Oscar Nominated movie, especially after he galloped off the edge of a cliff killing his horse but surviving.
Hansen added:
“Having gone off a cliff or two on horseback, I can assure you that: 1. Leo can’t ride for s*** and 2. Appaloosas [the breed of horse he rode] are a lot smarter than that.”
