The draw was held in the host country Tanzania by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Thursday, December 20th with representatives of each country present at the occasion.

The Golden Eaglets progressed to the tournament after they emerged champions of the WAFU Zone B qualification tournament which sealed their ticket.

The Golden Eaglets did not qualify for the last edition and missed out on a chance to defend their African and world title.

Host country Tanazania and Guinea were the two seeded teams for the draws.

The eight teams that qualified for the tournament were group into two group of four countries each.

Groups

A - Tanzania, Nigeria, Angola and Uganda

B - Guinea, Cameroon, Senegal and Morocco

The 2019 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations is scheduled to hold from Sunday, April 14 till Sunday, April 28 2019.

The four semifinalist from the 2019 U-17 AFCON will represent the continent at the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup which will be hosted in Peru between Saturday, October 5 till Sunday, October 27 2019.
