Is Celebrity Endorsement The Next Fad?

Top on the list of celebrities endorsing products are:

Tu Face (Innocent Idibia) and Airtel: This fine boy who also sings wonderfully well is presently the face of airtel. Though Airtel seems to have themselves some customer care trouble, the star seems to be doing fine for himself.

Ini Edo and Chivita, GLO, Noble: The screen diva seems to be having a ball as she is the face of three different products, all giants in their fields. She is one of the faces of GLO and Chivita and also the only face for Noble hair products who paid the actress a whooping sum of 14.5 million. Jeez, I think I need to bag me one of those.

Genevieve Nnaji and MUD: The classy, fierce former actress ( I haven’t seen her on any movies lately) kicked off with Lux, is the face of MUD cosmetics and Luna milk. I mean, who wouldn’t want this hottie to endorse them???

GLO Nigeria AllStars: I cannot begin to count the number of stars with this Nigerian company as they seem to have taken the whole of Nollywood under their berth. Stars like Funke Akindele of Jenifa, Monalisa Chinda, Basket Mouth, Ini Edo, Mike Ezuruonye, Chioma Chukwuka, Desmond Elliot, Uche jumbo, P Square, Ramsey Nouah and a host of other stars. Seems like I need to apply here too.

Segun Arinze and Vodafone: Yes! I saw your expression!!! Our very own Segun is also an endorsee star as Vodafone and Omo have picked him to join the league of extraordinary endorsee stars. How about that?!

I could go on and on and on about the stars but I need to go and figure out how to join the league too…. :)
