Aside from their loss in game two, the Spurs have easily been the better team as they claimed a 4-1 series win with a 104-87 victory at their AT&T Center home.

The championship is their fifth since 1999, with veteran Tim Duncan " still starring at 38 years of age " and coach Gregg Popovich part of all five.

San Antonio also avenged their loss to two-time defending champions the Heat in the Finals last year.

It was yet another even performance from San Antonio, but NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard led the way on the scoring front.

Leonard has starred in the final three games and finished with 22 points, 10 rebounds and two assists in game five.

Manu Ginobili added 19 points, while Patty Mills came off the bench to hit a game-high five three-pointers in his 17-point haul.

Tony Parker (16 points) and Duncan (14) were good contributors once more as they managed double figures.

Heat star LeBron James scored a game-high 31 points to go with 10 rebounds and five assists, but he got limited support.

Chris Bosh (13 points and seven rebounds) and Dwyane Wade (11 points) were the only others to collect double figures in points.

The Heat had made a bright start with a 22-6 run with James scoring 17 first-quarter points to have his team in control.

But from 22-6, the Spurs went on an incredible 41-18 run to be seven points ahead at half-time.

And they never looked back as the Heat managed just 29 points across the second and third quarters.
