To Star In New Action Movie 'Gridlocked'

If you've missed the Fighting Temptations actor Cuba Gooding Jr. on the big screen, then that's about to change! The Hollywood star has inked a role in a new film title "Gridlocked," an action thriller directed by Allan Ungar.

The 46-year-old actor is expected to play a former SWAT team leader in the action thriller who is shadowed by an obnoxious movie star while researching a role.

However, the unlikely pair is forced to work together when a team of mercenaries attack a training facility. The duo must organize its surviving members, while fighting for their own lives.

According to the director, Ungar, the movie stems from an original screenplay he wrote with Rob Robol. Producers include Bruno Marino, Geoff Hart and Cody Hackman.

"Gridlocked" will kick off filming this spring.
