Restaurant scatter when man drops giant 13-foot python on the floor
Officer Drake Madison says Hiroshi Motohashi, 46, had argued with an employee and stormed out of Iroha Sushi of Tokyo in Studio City on Sunday evening.
Madison says a short time later, the man returned with the giant snake, threw it into the dining room and walked out again.
“F–k you guys,” Motohashi allegedly said before dropping the snake on the floor and leaving the restaurant, police said.
Jessie Davaadorj, a waitress at the sushi spot, told KCBS-TV customers ran out of the restaurant screaming, “Get this thing out! Are you crazy?”
Police responded, and the man was arrested on suspicion of making criminal threats. Nobody was hurt.
The python was taken by animal control officers.
Motohashi, who owns a San Diego pet shop called A Glass Jungle, has a history of legal troubles related to his collection of exotic animals including serving jail time for selling Gila monster lizards without a permit.
