AC Milan's Kalulu names Osimhen strongest striker in Serie A

AC Milan defender Pierre Kalulu has named Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen as the strongest striker he has ever faced in the Serie A.

Kalulu stated that despite facing other strikers in the Italian top-flight, no other striker in the Serie A goes as 'deep' as the Napoli forward with his pace and strength.

Kalulu and Osimhen faced each other in a league clash on March 6, 2022, with AC Milan picking up a 1-0 victory at the Diego Maradona Stadium in Naples courtesy of a 49th-minute effort from Olivier Giroud.

As reported by Starcasino Sport via Spazionapoli, Kalulu stated that defending against Osimhen means you have to be very focused because of the Napoli striker's pace and physicality.

Kalulu said: “The strongest striker I've met? Osimhen is a strong attacker, but any attacker I meet, I have to stick with him. 

"You always have to be focused, Victor was fast and he was also very physical."

Kalulu stated that he relishes his duel with Osimhen stating that the Nigerian international presses defenders with 'great desire.'

"He is a center forward who always comes with you with a great desire, as if he were a defender," Kalulu continued.

"I played against some other striker who goes deep but not like him, who has so much faith in his speed. With him you must always stay focused.

"There was also a good physical duel between us. Osimhen is a real center forward, very strong indeed."

Victor Osimhen has scored 16 goals and made five (5) assists for Napoli across all competitions this season, leading their charge for a first Serie A title in over 30 years.

The Super Eagles forward won the Serie A Player of the Month Award in March for his consecutive braces against Hellas Verona and Udinese that won Napoli six (6) points.

Napoli are up against AS Roma in the Serie A on Monday night. Osimhen is on a three-game goalscoring run with five (5) goals in his last 3 league appearances.
