Singer did not attend brother's funeral, here's why
Following the grave loses R&B queen, Celine Dion has had to endure in the last few weeks, it is no surprise that she couldn't make her own brother's funeral.
The singer who had lost manager and husband of 22 years, Rene Angelil, had also lost her brother, Daniel Dion, 2 days later.
All the same, the singer had been spotted in public for the first time since Angelil's death, after she had been pictured at the airport on her way back to Montreal, Canada, for her husbands funeral.
Entertainment tonight reports that the mother-of-3 as well as her kids had been unable to continue public mourning for two days.
Instead, Celine had reportedly paid her final respects at Daniel's memorial service which had taken place at Salon Charles Rajotte in Repentigny, on Monday, January 25.
The funeral itself, had reportedly taken place at St-Simon-et-Jude parish in Charlemagne, Québec, where the family had been raised.
Daniel Dion had died of Cancer on January 16, 2016, following Angelil's death on January 14, of same causes.
