Strings of under-performances and unimpressive plays at his time in Stamford Bridge led to a loan move to AC Milan; in the hope that he can revive his career at the Italian capital club

News reports in the week suggest that the 30 year-old may be sent back to Chelsea, where he has a running contract until 2016.

Torres has only scored one goal in ten appearances and the Italian club feel they have enough of his drought, coupled with the huge £3.1m-a-year salary.

Speculations from Stamford Bridge also suggest that Chelsea are already plotting a free transfer for the player on his return so they can be finally done with him.
